What we collect
We collect your email address when you create an account. When you upload an assessment report, we process the file contents to generate insights. We also store the results of that analysis in your account.
How we use your data
Your data is used solely to provide the Learnlio service. To analyze your report, the file contents are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (the makers of Claude), which processes the data to generate the analysis and does not use it to train its models. We do not sell, share, or trade your personal data with any third parties for marketing purposes.
Your uploaded files
Assessment report files are processed to extract text and generate insights. The original PDF or image files are never stored on our servers. They are deleted immediately after analysis completes. Only the resulting analysis (summary, insights, practice activities) is saved to your account. Your data is completely confidential.
Data security
We use Supabase for authentication and data storage, which uses industry-standard encryption and row-level security so your records are only accessible from your own account. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
Who can use Learnlio
Learnlio is intended only for adults who are the parent or legal guardian of the child whose report is being uploaded. You must be at least 18 years old. By uploading a report, you confirm that you have the right to access and share that child's information.
A note on student records and FERPA
Learnlio receives assessment reports directly from parents and guardians, who already have the legal right to their own child's records. We do not receive data from, or act on behalf of, any school or school district, and we are not a "school official" under FERPA. You share your child's report with us voluntarily, and you control it: you can delete any report or your entire account at any time.
Children's privacy
Learnlio is designed for use by parents and guardians, not by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Student names and grades you enter are stored privately in your account and are never shared or sold.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual reports from your account at any time. To request full account deletion, contact us at hello@learnlio.app.
